On Day 2 of the Innovation Summit 2012 NIKE unveiled the new Nike+ Basketball and Nike+ Training platforms.

The technology in both experiences utilizes a new Nike+ Pressure Sensor built into each shoe capable of measuring how high, hard and quick players play each game, or delivering previously unknown information about a workout.

Data are then wirelessly transmitted to the user’s mobile phone, connecting the physical world of sport to the digital domain, and changing the game once again.

Sartoria adapted the Basketball City venue on the fly showcasing the new Nike+ enabled footwear by levitating the shoes on custom made magnetic displays, and creating ad hoc demo zones for guests to experience first hand this new ground-breaking technology.

Air Max 90 evolved from the running shoe concept into an icon adopted by athletes, performers and artists. AM90 sound is the documentary of this journey, a tribute to a true icon.

In 2007 Sartoria asked legendary photographer Shawn Mortensen to travel across Europe, intercepting the frequencies of 8 young music talents who share the air max 90 attitude. Sefyu (Paris), FR+Rampa (Berlin), Rodion (Rome), Kissey Asplund (Stockholm), Maniac (London), Golden Bug (Barcelona), Shinedoe (Amsterdam), Mujuice (Moscow).

The end result lives in 8 video clips, 8 previously unreleased vinyl records, an exclusive photo reportage, and an extensive video documentary: the first exclusive global content launched on nikesportswear.com platform.

In 1982 a non-stop cultural venue called Graffio opened in Modena, quickly reaching a prominent position both in the national and international clubbing scene. After various ups and downs, in the year 2000 the future of the venue – which in the meantime changed name to MORe – became very uncertain. Sartoria invited Delta, Futura and Mode2 to act upon the walls, and to protect them with their talent.

Ten years after we asked the same guys – together with friends Os Gêmeos, Tom Sachs and Kostas Seremetis – to come and play on another playground in Modena: the 17th century Palazzina dei Giardini art exhibition centre. Welcome to the Kindergarten.

i-D has come a long way since its pre-digital, cut-and-paste days, developing into a glossy magazine with a passionate online extension, that documents fashion and contemporary culture.

Sartoria was asked and enthusiastically accepted to collaborate in bringing the new website to life. And now, ladies and gems, we can proudly announce that it’s gone live!
