Beijing 2008 CCTV Projections
Disruptive. That’s how they call it. One of Beijing’s most iconic landmarks, the China Central Television Headquarters building (CCTV) designed by Rem Koolhass of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) is truly a groundbreaking accomplishment.
In 2008 when Nike asked Sartoria to help kick-starting the Olympic Spirit, we came up with something as challenging and groundbreaking as this radical skyscraper. A 45.000 sqm choreographed slideshow of China’s best athletes on 4 columns of the building, facing the west side and the south side, using 80 state-of-the-art projectors, special custom lenses to compensate the excessive and obtrusive artificial night lights, the biggest multi-projection system ever created on a glass surface.
