Art of Football

Sartoria and Showstudio worked closely with 11 hand-picked established talents, looking for an original creative interpretation of football, searching for a new generation of artists to push the bounds of creativity once more. Claudio Sinatti, +41, Gareth Pugh, Silvia Prada, Alice Hawkins, Pawel Kozlowski Swanski, Dominic Wilcox, Boxie, Khaya, Joel Tettamanti, Rebecca & Mike, Artemy Lebedev, VHS, Pfadfinderei, Ewen Spencer and Erdil Yasaroglu set the standard, and invited artists to submit works and an ideas around the “Art of Football” concept.

The 11 best ones were chosen to exhibit at the Art of Football show in Basel: Rok5008, Oudhout, Mizo, Floor Wessling, Patrick Söderstam, Oskar & Ewan, Jiggery Pokery, Sweeney, Rae Martini, Danielle Mudd and Sindaken. Patrik Söderstam has then been announced as the 2008 Nike 1/1 for his striking submission, “The Core”.
