Game of Fifteen 2 – Boris Tellegen
Ascot Ceramiche presents the second collection of the series “Game of Fifteen”, dedicated to the works of fifteen contemporary artists. The premise of the project is to consider the tile as a medium of art, and to treat it as a “canvas” in all respects: both as a support for art and as an objet d’art on its own. Each collection presents a complete immersion in the style and poetics of a single artist.
While the first collection of the series has been a tribute to the master of pop art Keith Haring, the second issue is a completely new and on-purpose design, created by the Dutch artist Boris Tellegen. The artist’s focus on tridimensionality being very unusual for tile design, the project has been a very demanding and exciting way of exploring the expressive possibilities as well as the technical limits of ceramic tiles production.
Sartoria is proud to be in charge of the art direction of this project for the second year, and particularly happy to collaborate with director Marco Molinelli for the video launch.
